We had an amazing day climbing at Bennybeg with Height Club! It was our first time climbing outside and Brendan made us feel extremely safe and secure doing so. We learnt a lot and gained confidence in outdoor climbing. Brendan was enthusiastic and motivating and encouraged us to try new exciting things like climbing with blindfolds on. What an amazing 4½hour outdoor climbing session with Brendan at Blackford Quarry, Edinburgh. 1 x 10year old, in door, kids club climber 1 x 10 year old 1st timer (Cousins) 1 x 40+ Mum/Aunt, scared of heights 1 x 40+ Uncle/Dad, in pain from Munro climbing so helped to belay Fun, encouraging, safe and adapted to everyone's levels. Pushing kids to their potential with encouragement and advice. I still can't believe he got me to belay safely, climb and abseil as well! The lunch break was perfect to relax, reflect and plan the next challenges. Great team/family day out for all abilities and levels. If you think you can't, you can. 100% recommend this. I found Height Club on Instagram and joined an outdoor session at Blackford last minute. Brendan was super communicative getting everything organised and the session itself was so fun. My son and I attended one of Brendan's open Height Club sessions to learn to belay for each other. Brendan provided fantastic instruction and encouragement throughout. Everything was well organised and he was very observant and communicative. We felt safe throughout but it was most importantly fun and we got loads of climbing in. Strong recommend! Hi, I’m Brendan. I’m very good at making people feel great about themselves through climbing. Having had a fear of heights when I first started climbing, I now relish working with those who say they have no upper body strength, it’s not for them, they’re too scared, or they’re too old/unfit/insert-negative-adjective-here. I can find the bit of them that can climb, not the bit that can’t; and it’s very empowering! You may think that climbing’s not for you… but you won’t know until you’ve tried climbing with Height Club!
